CALL FOR INDUSTRIAL TRACK PAPERS JIST 2013
Ontologies and Reasoning, Semantic Data Management, Linked data and Social Semantic Web are of major interest for research communities and industries worldwide. The need for creating applications, in order to process big data to be of use for private as well as corporate consumption is at an all time high.
We are calling for papers that describe software applications and (where available) prototypes that show practical utility of theoretical research results. The authors should be able to demonstrate why their ideas are possibly unique and/or better than others solutions on the market. The goals of the Industrial Track are: to give the opportunity for authors/inventors to present their results in a friendly peer environment made of academia and industry, as well as to create a round-table where to discuss the challenges and issues with promoting academic ideas on the market for prototyping and commercialisation.
We are looking for submissions of maximum 3 pages in PDF format, using the style of the Springer Publications format for Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), describing the proposed software applications and prototypes. We recommend the following structure as guidelines for the submission: describing the perceived value of the proposed application, why is it better than others already existing solutions, demonstration of the application and results/performance measurements. The Industrial Track welcomes applications that are in various stages of development, ranging from early stage/patented only, in process of piloting or already deployed with a number of users.
Accepted industrial track papers (max. 3 pages) will be included in the JIST 2013 proceedings. Authors of accepted works are expected to attend the conference and present their work.
